What you can expect

As the lead of the machine learning team, you will be responsible for the technical management and coordination of software development in the field of machine learning.
You will take the technical lead in the conception and implementation of complex ML projects in various fields such as recommender systems, intelligent search, image and text classification, and time series forecasting.
You promote the further development and growth of the team through mentoring, code reviews and the establishment of best practices.
You will work closely with other departments to optimise the integration of ML solutions into the product landscape, improve internal processes and continuously increase the added value for our users.
You will drive innovation by evaluating the latest research findings and translating them into viable solutions that are scalable and efficient.
You are responsible for the selection and evaluation of technologies and tools that contribute to the improvement of our ML infrastructure and processes.
You will ensure successful collaboration with other departments.

What sets you apart

You have a higher degree in (business) computer science, mathematics or a related field and have several years of professional experience in the field of machine learning.
You have sound knowledge of Python and the relevant ML frameworks (e.g. sci-kit learn, pandas, pytorch/tensorflow) as well as SQL and object-orientated programming.
You always have your finger on the pulse of the latest developments in the field of ML / AI and are characterised by your ability to quickly analyse innovative technologies and evaluate their application potential for our product and to increase the efficiency of internal processes. For example, by connecting external LLM services.
You have a proven track record in managing machine learning projects and leading technical teams.
You are experienced in dealing with modern ML-Ops concepts and have already successfully implemented them in the cloud and on-premise.
You also bring in-depth experience in classical software development, including knowledge of software architecture, design patterns and clean code principles, which are essential for the development of robust, maintainable and scalable systems.
You are characterised by your ability to communicate complex technical issues and make strategic decisions.
You are a role model in terms of working independently and have the ability to motivate and provide technical guidance to your team.
You are willing to expand your knowledge of luxury watches, marketplaces and e-commerce and apply your passion for artificial intelligence in a dynamic environment.
